The location is a tranquil oasis, perfect for winding down after a day of discovery. Our double room was immaculately clean, with a lovely small balcony that welcomed the fresh air. I must say, the breakfast was a bit underwhelming; while plentiful, the ingredients lacked that fresh, local touch that one hopes to enjoy in such picturesque surroundings. The real highlight, however, was the hotel's restaurant. I indulged in a dinner that showcased a creative flair-our dishes were well-presented, often blending local ingredients in a manner that piqued my interest as an archaeologist. The ambiance was inviting, with a lovely bar/lounge area where we could unwind over a drink post-meal. Families will appreciate the activities for children, especially the playground and artificial lake. JUFA Hotel Gitschtal is quite a pleasant base for exploring the surrounding area while enjoying culinary delights, albeit with some room for enhancement.
